English has always been my favorite subject. Back in junior high, I was even a TA for my English teacher.
Why do I love it? I’ve always been a 'words person.' I love reading Chinese books, especially in Traditional Chinese---it’s so elegant, concise, and beautiful.
I also love reading English novels, and Freida McFadden is my favorite author right now. Plus, I’ve always thought being fluent in English is super cool, especially since it helps me make friends online from all over the place. It’s honestly a gateway to the world because it’s the most widely used language.
So much new info comes out in English first; if you want to get that information first-hand, you definitely have to master the language.
