The 5 Second Rule

I recently learned about The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. Here’s my understanding:

It’s a great productivity hack for beating procrastination. The rule works like a rocket launch: you do a final countdown 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and then blast off. Once the rocket launches, it’s headed straight for the sky, and there’s no turning back.

You can apply this same technique to stop procrastinating. For example, if you need to do the laundry but you’re feeling tired, you just count down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blast off, and force yourself to get moving. You can use this technique in every area of your life---it’s incredibly useful!
