I wasn’t even finished with my story! Last Sunday, we also went over to my uncle’s to pick some white radishes. He grew a ton of daikon this year—way more than his family could ever eat—so he called us up and told us to come help ourselves.
It was actually a blast. My aunt’s mother-in-law owns a huge vegetable garden, and my uncle grows all kinds of veggies and fruit. He showed us how to spot the biggest ones before pulling them out. Most of them were massive, but a few were tiny or had holes in them—probably from some garden critters getting to them first.
Anyway, we also picked some green beans and even grabbed some bananas. We had so much fun!
