Checking My Tone Before Asking

I’ve always felt that overthinkers are so hard to get along with. I asked her when the stuff she ordered would be here, and she got offended by my tone. 

She felt like I was acting like she owed me something, which wasn't the case at all.

When she told me that, I was like, 'Wait, what?' That’s not what I meant at all. She’s totally overanalyzing things—no wonder she always has a headache.

But honestly, I should probably check myself a bit. Maybe my tone was off a bit. I actually appreciate her calling me out on it, and I’ll try to be more mindful of how I ask things next time.
