A 15-year-old female student recently jumped off a building and died on the spot. Some people said it was because her online guy friend suddenly gave her the cold shoulder.
I don’t know what the real reason was, but if that’s true, I want to share my own story.
When I was younger, I had a lot of female online friends. There was one I liked so much---I even fantasized that she was my girlfriend. But one day I said something stupid and made her mad, and she stopped talking to me. At that moment, it honestly felt like my whole world was falling apart. It hurt so much I even cried. But as time went by, my feelings for her slowly faded.
Later on, I met other women and pretty much forgot about her. Sometimes I look back and think, “Wow… why was I so silly back then?”
Anyway, what I want to say is: maybe he hurt you, maybe he made you feel ignored, but don’t blame yourself. Life keeps moving, and you’ll definitely meet someone who’s right for you. Don’t fall too hard for someone who doesn’t treasure you.
And most importantly---don’t even think about suicide.
I once heard a story about a woman who lost everything---her job, her boyfriend, everything. She was about to jump into a river to end her life. At that moment, an old woman stopped her and talked to her, even sharing her own past.
Turns out, the old woman had also been betrayed when she was young. She wanted to end her life too. But she couldn’t bring herself to leave her family behind, so she kept going. And thank God she did...because she later met her true partner, and now she’s living a happy life.
So yeah… you get what I mean. You’ll always meet someone better suited for you. Don’t let one heartbreak make you feel hopeless. You deserve better, and there’s always someone out there who’ll treat you right.
